Explore the fluid, dynamic, and meditative process of Suminagashi-style paper marbling at the lovely, bright Make Workshop in Brooklyn.
Suminagashi is a centuries old Japanese process, meaning "floating ink" or "spilled ink". In this 2-hour workshop you'll learn how to float ink on the surface of water in order to create organic, swirling designs and connect to the flow of the creative process.
You'll leave with a collection of marbled papers in a variety of sizes and textures--perfect for framed gifts and stationery for cards--as well the knowledge of how to create more projects at home.
Class fee includes all supplies.
