Explore the creative, meditative process of suminagashi-style paper marbling. You'll be lead through a suminagashi demo, have a chance to follow along if you'd like, and there will be ample time for problem solving and questions. We’ll review tips and tricks for setting up your suminagashi station at home and you’ll be guided through the suminagashi process. We’ll have time for questions and reflections. You’re welcome to follow along, or simply take in the class and use it as time for information gathering and question asking before diving in.

MATERIALS:

+ A clear glass vessel (baking dish) or marbling tray 

+ Suminagashi inks (this is the kit we usually use in class // purchase locally if available!)

+ Brushes

+ Dish soap

+ Paper (watercolor paper, cardstock, copy paper, etc) 

+ Drying station: old towels, string and binder clips
