Learn the creative and meditative marbling process of Suminagashi and create a collection of marbled paperes at Vjosa Cafe in Bridgeport, Chicago. Characterized by delicate tendrils of colorful inks and swirling patterns floated on the surface of a bath of water., you’ll explore the meditative process of Suminagashi (“floating ink”) and create your own marbled designs a variety of surfaces.

All materials provided plus a 12oz tea or coffee from Vjosa Cafe. No experience needed; beginners welcome. This workshop is for anyone in search of a restful, creative evening. Come alone, and make it a solo creative experience, or bring a friend and make it an inspiring date night.

You’ll learn a short history of the process, be led through a demonstration, and then flow with ink, water, and breath, as you create a collection of marbled designs on cards, wood, and paper. Save your spots today.
