Learn the creative and meditative process of Suminagashi marbling and create marbled designs on paper at Rooted in Logan Square, Chicago. Characterized by delicate tendrils of colorful inks and swirling patterns floated on the surface of a bath of water., you’ll explore the meditative process of Suminagashi (“floating ink”) and create your own nature-inspired marbled designs on paper.

You’ll learn a short history of the process, be led through a demonstration, and then flow with ink, paper, water, and breath, as you create a collection of marbled designs. All materials provided.
