Learn the creative and meditative process of suminagashi marbling, characterized by delicate tendrils of colorful inks and swirling patterns floated on the surface of a bath of water in this upcoming workshop at Cardinal Gift Shop in Fort Greene, Brooklyn!

In this class, you’ll explore the meditative process of creating your own marbled silks and paper designs. You’ll learn a short history of the process, be led through a demonstration, and then flow with ink, paper, silk, water, and breath, and leave with a collection of handmade papers plus a marbled silk scarf. These papers a great for letter writing, gift wrapping, or framing as an artful addition to your apartment walls. and the silk is a great gift or thing to wear!
