about this workshop

Learn the creative and meditative process of suminagashi paper marbling, characterized by delicate tendrils of colorful inks and swirling patterns floated on the surface of a bath of water.

In this workshop, you’ll explore the meditative process of creating your own marbled papers. We’ll start with a creative prompt to introduce the session, and you’ll learn a short history of the process, and be guided through an introduction to the process. The rest of the time is yours to flow with ink, paper, water, and breath. You’ll leave with a collection of marbled papers.
