Suminagashi, the Japanese form of paper marbling. Explore this creative, meditative process as you create cards by connecting to the love of art practice: contemplate the power of nature, find awe and wonder from ink on water, and use colorful inks to create cards for love letters and gratitude lists. You’ll be guided through the history of suminagashi, a demonstration, and time for questions. Leave with a collection of swirling marbled card designs, envelopes, and prompts for letter writing.

Class will be held live and in person. Masking for the duration of the workshop is required for this experience regardless of vaccination status. Class will be held in a covered porch space with ample fresh air unless it’s too cold or there’s inclement weather. All materials needed for class will be provided.
