  • Brooklyn Brainery 190 Underhill Ave Brooklyn (map)

Sunday, February 16 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at The Brooklyn Brainery

Sign up and learn the art of bookbinding as you create a hardcover coptic stitch book!

about this workshop:

A book serves as a meaningful space for ideas, dreams, and reflections. In this class, join Kelly Laughlin of Odette Press as you create a small hardcover, cloth bound, coptic stitched book that lays flat when opened --  perfect to use as a photo album, sketchbook, or guestbook.

Expand your understanding of the bookbinding process, explore multiple signature binding, and walk away with a carefully crafted container for your memories and dreams.

This class is perfect for anyone who has taken the beginner’s bookbinding class or has had some experience with the bookbinding process and is interested in learning more. All materials for creating the book will be provided (paper, cloth, glue, thread). If you've taken a bookbinding class before, bring your awl + bone folder! (We will have extras for you to borrow if needed). Have a marbled or decorative paper you’d like to use? Bring it along!
