Learn to craft a sturdy hardcover book — join in for an exploration into the hardcover casing in process as you learn to craft your own lined notebook.

about the workshop:

Working with a pre-sewn text block, Italian book cloth, decorative papers, and bookbinding tools, we’ll focus on folding, scoring, crafting a hinge, finishing your journal, and getting those covers to fit.   

You’ll receive:

• one pre-sewn text block with lined book cloth (3 ½” x 5 ⅛” 144 lined pages)

• decorative end pages

• PVA glue

• a glue brush to add to your toolkit

• materials list and notes for casing in at home

If you have your own bone folder, scissors, and ruler, bring those along. If not, tools will be available the day of the experience. All materials for this project will be provided. This class is great for beginners with some bookbinding experience.
