about this workshop:

Join us on Tuesday July 16th at 7pm at our Brooklyn Apothecary for a night of meditative marbling Led by Kelly Laughlin, artist, writer, and founder of Odette Press, you'll learn the basics of the Suminagashi : "floating ink" or "spilled ink" and find creative flow as you make your own marbled paper designs, connecting to nature through the process while sipping on freshly made herbal tea.

The flow:

We'll start with introductions to ground into the space and the process. You'll be guided through a brief history of the process and demonstration, and then create your own marbled papers. Explore color, line, ink, breath, on a variety of papers in this exploratory, meditative experience.
