Learn the creative and meditative process of suminagashi marbling and create marbled designs on wood and paper in this workshop at Third Season by The Roof Crop.

Characterized by delicate tendrils of colorful inks and swirling patterns floated on the surface of a bath of water., you’ll explore the meditative process of suminagashi (“floating ink”) and create your own marbled designs on wood and paper.

You’ll learn a short history of the process, be led through a demonstration, and then flow with ink, paper, water, and breath, as you create a marbled wooden pieces and a collection of marbled papers. All materials provided
