Learn the creative and meditative process of suminagashi marbling and create marbled designs on silk and paper in this workshop at The Refilleri.

Characterized by delicate tendrils of colorful inks and swirling patterns floated on the surface of a bath of water., you’ll explore the meditative process of suminagashi (“floating ink”) and create your own marbled designs on silk and paper. You’ll be guided through a short demonstration, and then flow with ink, paper, silk water, and breath, as you create a marbled designs. You’ll leave with one 10 x 10 silk bandana and a collection of marbled papers.
