about this workshop

Learn the creative and meditative process of Suminagashi marbling and create marbled designs on leather and paper. Float delicate tendrils of colorful inks on the surface of water. and explore the meditative process of Suminagashi (“floating ink”) as create your own marbled designs on leather and paper.

You’ll learn a short history of the process, be led through a demonstration, and then flow with ink, paper, water, and breath, as you create a marbled silk bandana and a collection of marbled papers. All materials provided
