Learn the creative and meditative marbling process of Suminagashi and create marbled cards, envelopes, paper, and wooden boxes at Dovetail Brewery in Chicago. Characterized by delicate tendrils of colorful inks and swirling patterns floated on the surface of a bath of water., you’ll explore the meditative process of Suminagashi (“floating ink”) and create your own marbled designs a variety of surfaces.

All materials provided plus your first drink from the Dovetail Brewery bar. No experience needed; beginners welcome. This workshop is for anyone in search of a restful, creative evening. Come alone, and make it a solo creative experience, or bring a friend and make it an inspiring date night.

You’ll learn a short history of the process, be led through a demonstration, and then flow with ink, water, and breath, as you create a collection of marbled designs on cards, wood, and paper. Save your spots today.
