Join us in Hudson, MA at Crose Nest for an evening of dropping in to the meditative act of creating: flow through guided breath work, practice expressive writing, and learn the creative process of Japanese style paper marbling, suminagashi.

Suminagashi means, "floating ink" or "spilled ink," and in this class, you'll float ink on the water's surface to create swirling designs that reflect patterns found in nature.

In this class, we'll center around the questions: how can we make space for pause and play amidst creative practice? How can we experience embodiment and play while making art? How can we use creativity as a place for connection to ourselves, each other, and the world around us?

From this class, you'll walk away with: resources to help build a reflective and expressive writing practice, tools to help build an embodied making practice, and a collection of one of a kind marbled paper designs.

All materials for artmaking will be provided, with light refreshments included.
