about this workshop
Join us at the Brooklyn Apothecary on Wednesday September 25th at 7pm for a nature inspired art-full evening. Led by Kelly Laughlin, founder of Odette Press, you'll open to the heart of creative nature as you learn to make your own roses from hand marbled crepe paper.
We'll start with connecting to the essence of rose through memory, benefits, and the taste and smell of rose with a rose-inspired drink. You'll learn the anatomy of a rose, and be guided through the steps of how to cut, glue, and create a paper rose using simple materials -- wire, glue, scissors, ink, and marbled paper.
All materials are provided. This workshop is great for anyone seeking a soothing creative process and connections to nature. You'll leave with 1 (or more) handmade paper roses, plus a rose-themed playlist and ideas for rose journaling prompts.
