about this workshop

Calling all book curious, come explore the art of bookmaking as you learn to create your own hardcover journal at The Brooklyn Brainery. Focusing on glue, parts of a book, and casing in, you’ll learn how to create your own notebook using book cloth, a pre-sewn text block, and decorative paper.  

You’ll be guided through an introduction into the tools in the bookmaking process, then explore the steps for this satisfying process. You’ll leave with your own handmade, hardcover journal for writing, reflecting, and expressing.
