ONLINE | Earth Day Journaling: Writing to Ground

Grounding is the process of making contact with, or becoming closer to the Earth; celebrate Earth day through reflective practice, creative exercises, and infuse nature and landscape into your writing.

Think of trees, rocks, growth, soil, place, and the path to your inner and outer landscapes. What enriches your soil? What inspires your connections? In this class, infuse your journaling with techniques for grounding: you’ll be guided through writing prompts, guided visualizations, gentle movements, and breathing to root into your connection between yourself and the Earth through creative practice.

Earth Day giveback: a portion of funds from each ticket sold to this class will be donated to the National Resources Defense Council, whose mission is “to safeguard the earth -- its people, its plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends.” For more on the NRDC, visit www.nrdc.org

For class, you’ll need something to write with and something to write on: pen, pencil, journal or paper. Drawing and writing are highly encouraged, and all movements and breathing will take place from a seated position. No prior journaling experience needed (all levels are welcome). Please note: due to the personal nature of this class, this experience will not be recorded.
