Explore a step by step bookbinding process and the practice of observational journaling. In this class, you'll make yourself a tool to record the world around you. Class includes information on tools and techniques in order to make your own pocket notebooks, resulting in a place to write, make drawings, and record observations. Inspired by the practice of taking field notes, this class will emphasize both technical aspects of bookbinding along with exploring different prompts to jump start the practice of observing. By focusing on observations, journals and sketchbooks can become vehicles to explore mindfulness and observations of the beauty of the world around you. Come prepared to gather tools for making and tools for reflecting.
